Document Chat (RAG) Upload any PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD or scanned handwritten notes. Chat directly with your documents: ask questions, get summaries, clarify concepts. Uses Retrieval Augmented Generation to answer based on your uploaded documents. - **Supported formats**: PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD, image scans, lecture transcripts - **AI model**: Google Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite (all tiers; quotas differ, model is the same) - **Cross-document queries**: ask questions that span multiple documents in a space - **Grounded in your files**: answers are based on your uploaded documents ### 2. Flashcard Generator Type `@flashcards` in chat to automatically generate spaced-repetition flashcards from any document. Uses the SM-2 algorithm for optimal review scheduling. - Export as an Anki-compatible TSV file (not an `.apkg` deck) - Manual editing + custom decks - Automatic difficulty adjustment based on your performance - Review Queue ordered by due date ### 3. Mindmap Generator Type `@mindmap` to turn any document into a hierarchical visual structure. Click nodes to expand or collapse. - Interactive, clickable - Exportable as PNG - Works with any document type - Best for: complex relationships, exam schemas, study overviews ### 4. Review Queue (spaced repetition) Flashcards and quiz questions from all your spaces come back when they are due, scheduled by spaced repetition rather than on a fixed daily cycle. - Multiple-choice questions from your own material (open and essay questions are in the exam simulator, Plus and up) - Streak system for habit building - XP and levels - Covers all spaces at once ### 5. Exam Simulator (Plus+) Full practice exams generated from your documents: multiple choice, short answer, and essay questions. Timed mode available. Automatic scoring with detailed feedback. - Based on YOUR materials, not generic question banks - Difficulty settings (easy/medium/hard) - Export as PDF - History of past attempts ### 6. Essay questions with AI feedback (Plus+) Part of the exam simulator, not a separate tool: an exam generated from your documents can contain essay questions. You write the answer, the AI grades it and highlights the passages it based the grade on. - Grounded in the documents the exam was generated from - Highlighted passages showing what was credited and what was missing - Scored together with the rest of the exam attempt ### 7. Live Session Recorder (Plus: 10 h/week, Premium: 15 h/week, not available on Free) Record lectures directly in the browser. Transcription runs in your browser via the Web Speech API, plus summary generation and automatic flashcard creation from the lecture. - Web-based, no download - In-browser speech recognition: in Chrome this uses Google's speech service; the recording is stored in your account - Automatic transcript + summary - Searchable transcript - Chat-queryable after recording - Requires a browser with Web Speech API support (Chrome, Edge, Safari) ### 8. AI Podcast (Plus and Premium, not available on Free) Open a space and choose Podcast to turn its material into a two-host audio conversation you can listen to in the app. There is no `@podcast` chat command; typing it only links to that page. - Two Gemini text-to-speech voices, one per host - Follows the language of your material ### 9. Community: friends and messages - **Profile and friends**: set up a profile and add fellow students via friend request (all plans) - **1-to-1 messages** from Plus, **group chats** with Premium - Sharing study materials with the community is built but not open yet ### 10. AI PDF Creator Type `@pdf` in chat (or use the button in the space dashboard) to turn any document into a practice exam, cheatsheet or summary. The AI writes a fully editable document you can refine, then download as a clean, print-ready PDF. - Practice exams with a separate solutions section - Cheatsheets and summaries condensed to the essentials - Editable in the rich-text editor before you export - All created PDFs collected in a "Created PDFs" tile per space - Existing flashcards and quizzes can also be exported to PDF (free, no AI cost) ## Technical features - **Database in London (UK)**: Supabase, eu-west-2; files with Cloudflare R2; no training on user content. AI requests are processed by Google's Gemini API (Google keeps them for up to 55 days to detect abuse) - **Row-Level Security** on all database tables - **Rate limiting** server-side to prevent abuse - **Prompt injection protection** (ANTI_INJECTION system prompt) - **DOMPurify** XSS sanitization for all AI output - **Content Security Policy** headers - **HSTS** enforced - **Stripe payments** with webhook signature verification - **PWA installable** on any device - **Offline fallback** for core reading features - **No API keys exposed** to client (all AI calls through server-side proxy) ## Supported languages German, English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian.
